acceptance
quote on label:
If I could define enlightenment briefly I would say it is the quiet acceptance of what is.

This one of the most important candles I've ever made for my own journey, and I love this quote by Wayne Dyer. At first I thought enlightenment was an awfully fancy word, until I realized it means what I want to experience in life:
Serenity. Joy. Peace of mind. Love. Connection to God and others.
The quote I actually wanted to use on this candle is several lines too long to fit on our labels, but it sums up exactly why and how I need to practice acceptance as part of my spiritual experience on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis:
"Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situationsome fact of my life unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed do be at this moment."
~ Paul O.
One of the great paradoxes in life is how tremendous strength arises from surrendering to what-is. As Kathleen Casey Theisen wrote, "Acceptance is not submission; it is acknowledgement of the facts of a situation. Then deciding what you're going to do about it." I offer this candle with a sense of relief and the hope that it helps you on your journey as well.
