Every so often we wind up with a candle that doesn't meet my standards. Sometimes it's because we've dropped it, or there's a surface scratch, or it's gotten dinged, or it's simply outlived its shelf life. Whatever the cause, something has affected the cosmetic appearance of the candle but not necessarily its performance. One of our employees calls them orphan candles -- they may be a little bruised, but they need a home like any other candle!
